Commercial Water Filtration Systems

Locally owned and operated, Fehl Safe Plumbing, Septic & Water Systems employs a team of highly skilled technicians. Our skilled technicians have over 30 years of experience. They will arrive at your property on time, test your water and any existing equipment, and recommend a solution based on your business needs.

Fehl Safe Plumbing, Septic & Water Systems designs, installs, and maintains commercial water filtration and softening systems for restaurants, hotels, apartments, HOAs, offices, medical facilities, marinas, and more.

Are you a business owner on Florida’s Gulf Coast looking to upgrade or maintain your commercial water filtration system? Fehl Safe Plumbing, Septic & Water Systems designs, installs, and services water filtration and treatment systems for all types of commercial properties.

Tested first, sized to your building, installed by our own crews, and kept running on a maintenance schedule — so the water stops costing you money.

Untreated water costs a business more than it costs a household. Scale shortens the life of water heaters, ice machines, and dishwashers. Iron stains fixtures and linens. Chlorine taste ends up in the coffee. Fehl Safe Plumbing, Septic & Water Systems designs, installs, and services water filtration and treatment systems for businesses and properties from North Charlotte County to South Hillsborough County, inland through Hardee and DeSoto. Family-owned since 1994, with licensed water plant operators on staff.

Businesses that need Fehl Safe’s water filtration services

Apartments and condominiums · HOAs · Hotels and motels · Restaurants · Office buildings · Retail establishments · Medical facilities · Schools and universities · Government facilities · Convention facilities · Marinas · Car dealerships · Beauty salons · Private businesses

Whether you’re a business owner, a property or facility manager, or a contractor specifying a system for a project, the starting point is the same: what’s in the water, and what does the building need from it?

What poor water quality costs Florida businesses

Hard water and scale. Coats the inside of water heaters, boilers, ice machines, coffee equipment, dishwashers, and laundry machines. Efficiency drops, service calls rise, and equipment fails early.

Iron and staining. Orange and brown stains on fixtures, tile, linens, and exterior walls hit by irrigation. Guests and tenants notice before you do.

Sulfur odor. The rotten-egg smell, common on wells. Hard to explain to a customer.

Chlorine and chloramine. On city water, it changes the taste of coffee, tea, fountain drinks, and ice, and it’s hard on rubber seals.

Sediment. Clogs aerators, valves, solenoids, and spray nozzles.

High dissolved solids. Leaves spots on glassware, vehicles, and surfaces, and affects the taste of drinking water.

Bacteria and well water safety. For properties on a private well, disinfection is the property’s responsibility.

Commercial water systems Fehl Safe installs and maintains

By type of business

Restaurants, bars, and cafes. Filtration and softening for ice machines, coffee and espresso equipment, fountain drinks, and dishwashers. Better-tasting drinks, clearer ice, spot-free glassware, and fewer equipment service calls.

Hotels, resorts, and convention facilities. Softening and filtration for water heaters, laundry, kitchens, and guest rooms. Protects the heaters and the linens, and guests notice the water.

Apartments, condominiums, and HOAs. Central treatment for the building or community, including well systems with chlorination for properties not on city water.

Medical facilities. Point-of-use reverse osmosis and filtration for drinking water and equipment that calls for treated water.

Schools, universities, and government facilities. Drinking water treatment, whole-building softening, and well system maintenance.

Car dealerships. Reverse osmosis for spot-free vehicle rinsing, and softening for wash bays.

Your business not listed? We’ll test the water and work out what it needs.

How a project runs

  1. Test the water. We test the supply and any equipment already in place. See free water testing.
  2. Understand the use. Peak flow, which outlets need treated water, what the water is used for, and where the equipment can go.
  3. Design and size. A system matched to the problem and the demand — no one-size-fits-all package.
  4. Written estimate. Scope and price in writing before any work starts.
  5. Install. Our own licensed crews, with the plumbing done in-house.
  6. Start up and verify. We test the water after the system to confirm it’s doing its job.
  7. Maintain. A service schedule so the system keeps performing.

Service, maintenance, and supply from a single provider

A treatment system is only as good as its upkeep.

  • Service and repair of existing systems — including equipment we didn’t install
  • Replacement filters, cartridges, and RO membranes
  • Filter media replacement — see filter media in municipal and commercial water systems
  • Salt and chemical delivery — softener salt and chlorine delivered and loaded on schedule. See salt and chemical delivery
  • Maintenance contracts — scheduled inspection and service so problems are caught early
  • Periodic water testing — to confirm the system is still performing

Turn-key water plant operation

For properties with their own regulated water system — communities, campuses, and facilities on private wells that serve the public — we have licensed water plant operators on staff. We can perform county- and state-required water tests, maintain proper chemical levels, keep on-site records, and handle the paperwork required by the governing agencies.

Why Fehl Safe for commercial water filtration

  • Water treatment since 1994. We started as a water systems company, and water treatment is still core to what we do. About us.
  • Licensed water plant operators on staff. For the systems that need regulated operation and the ones that just need to work.
  • We test before we recommend. The system matches what’s in your water and how the building uses it.
  • Plumbers, not just equipment dealers. The installation, the piping, and the water heater are all handled in-house.
  • We keep it running. Service, filters, salt, chemicals, and testing from the same company that installed it.
  • Family-owned. Same family, same standards, more than 30 years in. See all services.

Frequently asked questions

What water filtration system is best for my business? It depends on what’s in your water and how the business uses it. A restaurant on city water and an HOA on a well need very different systems. We test first and size from there.

Do you test the water before recommending a system? Yes. We test the supply and any equipment already in place, then explain the results before recommending anything.

Can you service equipment another company installed? Yes. Tell us the make and model, and we’ll inspect it, test the water after it, and tell you whether it’s worth keeping.

Do you offer maintenance contracts? Yes. Scheduled service covers inspections, filter and membrane changes, and salt and chemical delivery.

Do you handle water systems that require a licensed operator? Yes. We have licensed water plant operators on staff who perform required testing, maintain chemical levels, keep records, and handle the agency paperwork.

Can you install reverse osmosis for a whole building? Yes — whole-building, point-of-use, or under-sink, depending on what the water is for.

Will treated water reduce equipment repairs? Softening and filtration reduce the scale and sediment that wear out water heaters, ice machines, dishwashers, and valves. That usually means fewer service calls and longer equipment life.

Do you work with contractors on new construction? Yes. We can specify, supply, and install treatment equipment as part of a new build or renovation. See new construction plumbing.

Do you bill against purchase orders? Yes, with net terms for approved accounts.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on your water problem and how your building uses water. A water test helps identify issues like hardness, iron, sulfur smell, chlorine taste, or sediment, and then the system is sized for your flow rate and building needs.

Yes. Tell us the make and model, and we’ll inspect it, test the water after it, and tell you whether it’s worth keeping.

Most systems should be checked every 6 to 12 months. High-use sites may need service more often, especially for filter changes, membrane checks, and softener salt levels.

Test at least once a year, and anytime you notice odor, taste, staining, or scale. Testing can check hardness, iron, sulfur, chlorine, pH, sediment, and other common minerals, and well water should also be tested for bacteria.
